Abstract

Content of calcium sulphoaluminate and soke content of Cu2+ in clinkers were determined by chemical analysis, and content of tricalcium silicates was determined by X-ray diffraction. The mineral composition and clinkering property of clinkers were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The shape of calcium sulphoaluminate and structure of tricalcium silicates crystal were investigated respectively by scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope. The results show that adding a reasonable amount of CuO in raw meal could lower the clinkering temperature, and promote the coexistence of C3S and C4A3S̄. However extra amount of CuO may lower the decomposition temperature of C4A3S̄.
