Abstract

The TiO2 membrane immobilized on active carbon prepared by sol-gel method was studied. The results of SEM, EDS and XRD indicated that the TiO2 membrane was uniform and continuous, and the adsorbability of the composite photocatalyst was partly kept. The membrane was used to degrade the methyl orange solution. The results showed that the TiO2 membrane has higher photoactivity than the TiO2 powder photocatalyst.
