Abstract

This paper reviews the catalytic combustion treatment technologies for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAHs)-containing organic waste gas, with emphasis on noble metal catalysts and non-noble metal catalysts. The principle of catalytic reaction and the modification methods for catalyst are introduced from the viewpoint of catalytic effect of catalyst. The catalytic performances of noble metal catalysts and non-noble metal catalysts are analyzed. Thanks to its high efficiency, wide spectrum and economy, catalytic combustion treatment method is bound to become the most promising treatment technology for PAHs.
