Abstract

In recent years, flexible sensors are coming into public view rapidly, especially paper-based sensors which have been widely used in biomedical microfluidic, microbiological detection, environmental control, food safety, wearable products and other fields due to its unique advantages of flexibility, low cost, recyclability, and biodegradability. Although related researches on paper-based sensors are updating, comprehensive and systematic reports on which are rare. Hence, this review mainly discussed and summarized the preparation, detection methods, and multiple applications of paper-based sensors in detail, and the latest development and challenge of which was reviewed as well. Finally, authors' thoughts and insights on the future prospects regarding this field were put forward.
