Abstract

This paper reviews the progress on aerogels in the adsorption of heavy metal ions in recent years. Adsorption performance and modification methods for different types of aerogels are discussed, and future research is suggested to focus on improving the mechanical strength of aerogels and reduce the preparation cost of aerogels.This paper aims to provide references for the application of aerogels in adsorption of heavy metal ions.
