Abstract

In the molecule of the title compound, C₁₁H₁₄O ₂, the valeryl chain and benzene ring are not coplanar. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O-H⋯O) hydrogen bonds link the molecules to form chains, which may be effective in the stabilization of the crystal structure.
