Abstract

In the title compound, (C₁₂H₁₁IN)[Ni(C ₆H₄S₂)₂], the Ni^III atom is surrounded by four S atoms in a square-planar geometry. The ions stack in a face-to-face fashion with an alternating arrangement of anion and cation, and a strong S⋯I interaction is observed between them.
