Abstract

In the crystal structure of the title compound, C₂₂H ₁₄O6.-2C₃H₆O, 4,6-dibenzoylisophthalic acid is linked with two acetone solvent molecules by strong intermolecular O -H...O hydrogen bonds. Weak intermolecular C-H...O hydrogen bonds may be effective in stabilizing the crystal structure.
