N2 - The title compound, C20H23NO, was synthesized by the reaction of dibenzo[a,d]cyclo-hepta-1,4,6-trien-5-one and dimethyl-amino-propylmagnesium. Intra-molecular O - H⋯N hydrogen bonding causes the formation of a non-planar seven-membered ring. The benzene rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 51.37 (3)°.
