Abstract

The title compound, C₁₅H₁₃ClN₂O, was synthesized by the reaction of ethyl 3-(4-chlorophenyl)acrylate and phenylhydrazine. Intermolecular N-H⋯O and intramolecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds are effective in the crystal structure. The intermolecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into dimers.
