Abstract

To mitigate surrounding units' loss caused by chemical accidents, the tentative research was done to establish an accident consequence-based safety design system of chemical plant layout by taking current LUP's idea as reference, which is mainly applied to chemical industry park. With accident consequence theory as basis, a planning rule candidate collection was presented for safety design of chemical plant layout. By sample computation, the accident modes that should be considered were also proposed, taking accident influence area as judging criterion. By analyzing the design process, the framework of accident consequence-based safety design of chemical plant layout was established.
