Abstract

Advances in development of catalysts for selective oxidation of styrene to styrene oxide and benzaldehyde including zeolites doped with metal ions, complexes, metal oxides, and metals were described. The advantages and shortcomings of the catalysts were also reviewed. It was to be noticed that the development of the complex supported catalysts would be the focus in future productions of styrene oxide and benzaldehyde because of their high activity and easiness in separation and reusability which conform to the trends of green chemical industries.
