Advances in reactor for hydrogen chloride oxidation

Cycling economy of chlorine element would be achieved by the efficiency route of recycling chlorine from byproduct hydrogen chloride. Various reactor types for heterogeneous catalytic oxidation of hydrogen chloride for chlorine production in recent years are reviewed in this paper. The performance and characteristic of these reactors are illustrated, and the research orientation for new types of reactor is discussed.
