Abstract

The centrosymmetric title compound, [Na(H₂O)₃] ₂-(C₂₂H₁₂O₆)·4H₂O, was prepared by slow evaporation of an aqueous solution of sodium dibenzoylterephthalate. The uncoordinated water molecules are connected by intermolecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
