Abstract

The heat transfer performance of solar collector is critical in the utilization of solar heat. Three methods are reviewed, including the theoretical prediction method which can be used to measure the effective thermal conductivity of the solar selective absorbing coating, the material preparation method and the experimental method that can be used to measure thermal conductivity. A variety of methods are compared and the advantages and disadvantages of each method are analyzed briefly. The importance of thermal conductivity of interfacial thermal contact resistance in compound material is emphasized. A prospective future including the trends of theory, preparation, and experiment is discussed.
