Abstract

Polymer electrolyte is one of the most important compositions of solid state lithium ion batteries and the conductivity of polymer electrolytes has prodigious effect on the properties of the lithium ionic batteries. The recent progress of the compositions, structures and properties of polymer electrolytes influencing the conductivity of lithium ion batteries is reviewed. Especially the progress in polymer-based alkali metal salt electrolytes and ionomer polymer electrolytes is introduced.
