Abstract

The positive material has been one of the research hotspots in lithium-oxygen batteries. Carbon is the most widely used material due to its cheap price, high conductivity, low weight, and structural diversity. But serious side reactions hinder its practical application. Here, we modified carbon material with three popular organic polymers (poly(2,3 dihydrothieno-1,4-dioxin), polypyrrole, and polyaniline) as coating layers and evaluated its performance in lithium-oxygen batteries with redox mediators. This strategy allows us to manipulate the electrode surface and design electrodes for flexible cells and wearable devices.
