Abstract

The guanidinium compound 4-guanidino-2-hydroxybenzoic acid, crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbac with a = 8.090(2) Å, b = 12.470(3) Å, c = 16.430(3) Å, and Φcalc = 1.564 Mg/m 3 for Z = 8. The three-dimensional network is constructed through hydrogen bonds, electrostatic interactions and weak π-π stacking interaction among the guanidinium, carboxyl and hydroxy groups in the title compound.
