Abstract

MZT composites with (MgCO3)4 · Mg(OH)2 · 5H2O, ZnO, TiO2 as the starting materials were prepared by solid reaction process. The microwave dielectric performance of MZT, microstructure, and phase composition were characterized by network analyzer, XRD, SEM and impedance analyzer. The effects of firing system on the microwave dielectric performance of MZT materials were studied. The result indicated that different pre-sintering process could affect the sintering and dielectric properties of MZT material. System (Mg0.9Zn0.1)TiO3, when pre-sintering at 1170°C, sintering at 1250°C, had an excellent dielectric property of εr=17.7, Q · f=0.1 PHz, τf ≈ -79 × 10-6/°C. Material (Mg0.7Zn0.3)TiO3, when pre-sintering at 1100°C, sintering at 1250°C, possessed good dielectric property of εr=18.7, Q · f=90 THz, τf ≈ -50 × 10-6/°C.
