Electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of cement paste added with magnetic expanded graphite

Abstract

Magnetic expanded graphite attached with iron oxide was prepared by expanding ferrocene and expandable graphite mixture at high temperature. The electromagnetic shielding effectiveness (SE) of cement paste added with magnetic expanded graphite was tested by the coaxial flange method. Results show that the SE of cement paste added with magnetic expanded graphite can be substantially increased. The best SE of cement paste added with magnetic expanded graphite of 15% (by mass) is 30.2 dB.
