Abstract
Tributyl phosphate-toluene was selected as organic solvent for the extraction kinetics of β-naphthol from its dilute aqueous solution. Based on the equilibrium experiments, the effects of the complexing agent concentration, the initial concentration of β-naphthol, the aqueous phase pH, the agitation, the interface area and the temperature on the extraction kinetics were systematically investigated. The mathematical models of extraction kinetics of β-naphthol were established.
