Abstract

The formation of ammonium cobalt(ii) phosphate was utilized to synthesize unprecedented 3D structures of Co3O4, triangular prisms, via a self-supported and organics-free method. The structure is shaped by stacking hundreds of small nanoplatelets; diameters and thicknesses of platelets are ∼100 nm and ∼20 nm, respectively.
