Hot compressive properties of TC4 titanium alloy

Abstract

Hot compressive experiments of TC4(Ti-6Al-4V) titanium alloy were performed on Gleeble-1500 hot simulator in temperature range of 900°C-1300°C, and strain rate 5 s-1. The maximum deformation degrees of the alloy under different condition were obtained; and compressive stress-strain curves were obtained, which offer basis for hot processing technological design. The specimen has different types of microstructure in different part, because of non-uniform deformation.
