Abstract
The catalyst of dealuminated Y molecular sieve (DUSY) supported Cesium salts of 12-tungstophosphoric acid (Cs2.SPW) was prepared by two-stage impregnation method. The effect of Cs2.SPW loading on the performance of catalyst for hydrolysis of methyl acetate was investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), low-temperature nitrogen adsorption-desorption technique (BET), Fourier infrared spectroscopy (FT-1R) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that Cs2.5PW dispersed evenly while the loading was 10% and the catalyst kept the Keggin structure. The catalyst had high catalytic activity in hydrolysis of methyl acetate, however, the catalytic activity of catalyst support on USY was lower. The conversion of methyl acetate was 18. 70% under the reaction conditions of reaction temperature 328 K, reaction time 2 h. The catalyst was used repeatedly for six times, the conversion of methyl acetate 15. 56% and the catalytic activity declined insignificantly.
