Abstract

Targeting individual cylinder imbalance problem of two-stroke aircraft engine, the reasons of individual cylinder imbalance were analyzed by experiment combined with simulation, the engine Gamma technologies-power (GT-Power) one-dimensional simulation model was built, and the individual cylinder imbalance of different operating conditions was simulated and analyzed by cylinders pressure. The engine bench test was conducted, the two cylinders pressure and air-fuel ratio were analyzed comparatively, showing that the reasons of individual cylinder imbalance were inlet and fuel injection difference of cylinders, the main influential factor of small load was fuel injection difference, and the main influential factor of partial load was air inlet difference subjecting to decrease with the increase of throttle position. This has provided a theoretical basis for the realization of software and hardware of individual cylinder imbalance control.
