Abstract

A series of La(Ba) Co(Fe) O3-δ membrane materials were synthesized through Pechini method. The crystal structure, the oxygen desorption and permeation fluxes of the materials with different content of Ba and/or Fe were investigated. The results were related to the tolerance factors and the metal average binding energy of the materials. It was indicated that the introduction of Ba was contributed to lower the oxygen permeation activation energy and elevated oxygen fluxes. Doping Fe in the materials with higher Ba content could keep the perovskite structure, and the sealing ability, stable operation time and oxygen desorption amount at low temperature were improved or increased.
