Abstract

In recent years, with the long span wooden architecture flourished, there are a wide variety of structure forms which contain artistic beauty and mechanical beauty appeared. Tree-like structure as a new form is more and more widely used in the world, due to it has ecological aesthetics for its form likes the natural trees and scientific rationality. This paper aims to study the mechanical properties of tree-like timber structure and we design a statical test of tree-like timber structure. We also do a simulation and find the simulated results agree to the experiment.
