Abstract

A unit control model was established using computational fluid dynamic (CFD) method, while the heat transfer and fluid flow performances on primary surface of recuperator (stainless steel serrated fin and cross corrugated (CC) primary surface) were simulated numerically and also compared with the experimental results. The results show good consistency between numerical simulation and experimental data. To this end, the effect of CC surface structural parameters on heat transfer performance was discussed, and then the heat transfer and flow characteristics were compared for different structural scales and surface arrangements, thus providing a basis for design optimization of recuperators.
