Abstract

The nanosized SnO₂ colloids in ethanol were prepared by Sol-Gel at 140°C, the ethanol modified amorphous nanosized SnO₂ was prepared. The nanosized SnO₂ was dissolved in MMA, then nano-composites of SnO₂/PMMA could be prepared. Modified SnO₂ power, ethanol solution of nanosized SnO₂ and nano-composites of SnO₂/PMMA were characterized by the XRD, FTIR, TG-DSC. The result show nanosized SnO₂ can wonderfully disperse in PMMA, transparent nano-composites of nanosized SnO₂ can be obtained by the method.
