Abstract
Six intermediates for ionic liquids were synthesized in one step by quaternization reactions. These are imidazolium salts including N-ethyl-N′-methylimidazolium bromide([emim]Br), N-methyl-N′-propylimidazolium bromide ([pmim]Br), N-butyl-N′-methylimidazolium bromide ([bmim]Br) and N-ethlyl(2-hydroxy)- N′-methylimidazolium chloride ([C2OHmim]C1) and pyridinium salt N-pentylpyridinium bromide ([C5py]Br). The products were characterized by 1H NMR and 13C NMR. The results proved the reliability of the synthetic method.
