Abstract
Nd:YAG precursors were synthesized by a co-precipitation method using mixed nitrates as raw materials and ammonia water as the precipitator. The precursors sintered at various temperatures were characterized by XRD, IR, TG/DSC and so on. The results show that pure-YAG phases were obtained by calcining the precursors at 900°C for 2 h, YAP and YAM intermediate phases were not detected. The finally powder was 60 nm in size with well dispersed and narrow distributed spherical morphology.
