Abstract
The reaction mechanism, sources of wild strain of ω-transaminase and recent developments of ω-transaminase in chiral amine synthesis or resolution are briefly introduced. The problems in the ω-transaminase production and the corresponding resolutions are described. The immobilization of ω-transaminase is summarized. The prospects of ω-transaminase is put forward as well.
