Abstract

Mixed oxygen-ion and electronic conducting ceramic membranes have received increasing attention in the past decade. The progress in bismuth-contained mixed conducting oxide membranes was reviewed, considerable attention was paid to the progress made by Dalian Inst. of Chem. Phys. of Chinese Acad. of Sci. during the past years. The problems associated with using the bismuth-contained materials were discussed. The promising development direction was pointed out.
