Abstract

The emergency rescue system was developed for major hazard installations based on 3D GIS and accident consequence simulation technology. The GIS-based platform was interfaced for 3D scene visualization of major hazard installation accident and information management. Moreover, influenced area map was drawn on the 3D GIS platform after calculation of accident consequence. On the foundation of the work referred above, spatial analysis was carried out to assist emergency rescue decision-making, including choosing evacuation path of people, searching for emergency rescue resource and the shortest path to the location of accident, setting roads-block around the influenced area, which can sufficiently support emergency for accidents of major hazard installations.
