Abstract
The residual stress in brazed stainless steel plate-fin structure and its influencing factor were analyzed by using finite element code-ABAQUS. The results show that large residual stress is generated in brazed joint due to mechanical properties mismatch between base metal and filler metal. The residual stress in the fillet is concentrated and complex, and the fillet is the weakest zone. Brazing gap, plate thickness, fin pitch, fin thickness, material mismatch and compressed stress have great effect on the residual stress distribution, while the brazing temperature, fin height and fin layers have little influence.
