Abstract

In order to research the variation regularity of muzzle velocity of the underwater gun bullets, a new measurement method was put forward. A pair of standard coil targets were used to repeatedly measure velocity of bullets at different position within the range of 3 m from muzzle, and the average velocity of different position is used to fit curve. The muzzle velocity and the moving regularity of underwater bullets within the range of 3 m from muzzle were obtained. The dynamic characteristics inconsistency of every coil target can cause the error of measuring velocity while many coils measure at the same time, and the measurement method can avoid the error. The muzzle velocity and the movement rule of underwater bullets within the range of 3 m from muzzle are reliable statistically by the method, and the movement regularity of bullets is true.
