Abstract

Oil-based cement slurry is an effectively selective water plugging material whose applications are being highlighted in oil well water control and EOR for its low cost, high selectivity, long working life and wide range of application. However, in China, its research and application has just started and the improvement of transposing efficiency of the slurry is still a big problem yet to solve. Thus, the replacing efficiency of the slurries is studied by static displacement method and selection of surfactants. It is a simple and useful guide for improving the performance of oil-based cement slurry.
