Abstract

Dark conductivity and photoconductivity of CdS doped with cobalt (II) complexes CoLL′ (L is 1,2-dicyano-1,2-ethylenedith-iolate, L′ are 1,10-phenanthroline and 5-nitro-1,10-phenanthroline), electronic absorption spectra and emission spectra of these complexes in DMF have been measured. The correlation between photosensitization of complexes CoLL′ to CdS and their electronic spectra were studied. it was found that obvious matched properties exist between the interligand charge transfer energy of complexes CoLL′ and the forbidden band width (or photoconductive red limit) of CdS.
