Abstract

Metalloaluminophosphate molecular sieves MnAPO-5 with AFI topology were synthesized by vapor phase transport method(VPT) in the system of dry gel and liquid phase both containing the template. The products were characterized by XRD, SEM, FT-IR, ICP, BET and TG-DSC. The effects of the synthesis parameters, such as the content of Mn metal, the way of adding the template, the amount of water, the crystallization temperature and time, were investigated. The results indicated that MnAPO-5 with high crystallinity could be synthesized by adding the template (Triethylamine, TEA) into both the dry gel and liquid phase, whose thermal stability after calcinated was also enhanced. When the n (MnO)/n (Al2O3) was in the range of 0.1-0.2 and n(H2O)/w(Al2O3) of. 60-400, pure MnAPO-5 could be synthesized at 180-200°C for 24-48 h.
