Abstract

Monosized strontium titanate (SrTiO3) particles with tailored morphologies have been successfully synthesized using ultrasound irradiation. Characterization techniques such as X-ray powder diffraction analysis, scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive analysis of X-rays, and laser particle size analysis were used to investigate the products. The results showed that all the as-prepared powders have a cubic SrTiO3 structure. Reaction conditions such as reactant concentrations, sonication time, and sonication power were found to have important effects on the morphology of SrTiO 3 particles.
