Abstract

In this paper, the operating conditions of microfiltration process which is used to deal with the wastewater produced by sulfuric acid process in TiO2 plant was studied, and the appropriate parameters were obtained: membrane pore size of 1. 0μm, transmembrane pressure of about 0. 20MPa, crossflow velocity of about 3. 5m/ s etc. All of them provided basic data for industrial designing and application of this process. A convenient approach to determine the transmembrane pressure was also gained.
