Abstract

Thermal response variation rules of LPG storage tank exposed to fire are expounded. It is suggested that water supply intensity in the fire-protection design shall be reassessed and determined through experiments. Water overflow in the top of tank combined with fixed water gun is suitable for fixed storage tank, and the safe valve with appropriate size shall be set simultaneously. Moving water gun is suitable for large-scale storage tank. As for the moving storage tank, insulating coat together with pressure relieving safe valve are suggested to be adopted.
