Abstract
The seismic wave input formula for viscous-spring artificial boundary was deduced by the wave theory, which was applied to study the seismic effect of basin. Based on the finite element analysis software ABAQUS, the internal and external source wave motion were calculated as the verifying examples. The comparison of the numerical simulation results and the theoretical solutions demonstrates the rationality and validity of the viscous-spring artificial boundary and seismic wave input. On this basis, this formula is applied to the numerical simulation of seismic effect of basin. The displacement response of free stratified ground surface and the basic trend of basin effect were simulated accurately. The influence rule of basin angle and soil property on the seismic response of basin was obtained. The results show that the presented viscous-spring artificial boundary and seismic wave input have strong applicability and accuracy in the stimulation of the seismic response of complex field. The results obtained from the present analysis give a reference to research on this topic.
