Abstract

An organic-inorganic hybrid solid material (C₄N ₃H₁₆)₂{[V^IV₁₄V ^V₄O₄₂(H₂O)][Ni(C₄N ₃H₁₃)(C₄N₃H₁₄)] ₄(H₂O)₆}[HV^IV₁₄V ^V₄O₄₂(PO₄)] 1 which is constructed from a novel nanosized calix-type polyoxovanadate {[V^IV ₁₄V^V₄O₄₂(H₂O)][Ni(C ₄N₃H₁₃)(C₄N₃H ₁₄)]₄(H₂O)₆}⁴⁺ cation and a hexa-capping Keggin structural anion [HV^IV₁₄V ^V₄O₄₂(PO₄)]^10- has been synthesized. Structural analysis indicates the nanosized calix-type V-O-Ni cluster cation is filled with six water molecules.
