title = "Catalytic combustion of methyl acetate over Cu-Mn mixed oxide catalyst",
abstract = "Cu-Mn mixed oxide catalysts have been prepared by citric acid complex method and evaluated in the catalytic combustion of methyl acetate. The catalysts are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Temperature- programmed reduction (TPR). Doping an appropriate amount of Cu in Mn 3O4 is favorable for the formation of a stable solid solution. Thus, the redox property of the catalyst can be enhanced. The effects of the mole ratio of Cu to Mn and calcination temperature are investigated. When the mole ratio of Cu to Mn is 1:5 and calcination temperature is 500°C, the catalyst exhibits the best catalytic activity. The conversion of methyl acetate can reach 95.8% at the reaction temperature of 500 °C. The 10 h stability test shows that the catalyst with the best catalytic activity is highly stable.",
