T1 - Characteristics of dielectric barrier discharge in tube-tube electrode and tube-plate electrode

N2 - To optimize the dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) reactor structure and improve discharge efficiency, the DBD characteristics of tube-tube electrode and tube-plate electrode in atmosphere are experimentally studied. Their voltage and current waveforms, Lissajous figures and light emission pictures are compared, the change of discharge parameters with applied voltage are investigated, and the experimental results are explained on the basis of the discharge mechanism. The conclusions include that: the electrical characteristics and light-emission properties of DBD of the two electrodes are quite different, for tube-plate electrode the DBD is more stable, and the distribution of discharge filaments is more uniform compared with tube-tube electrode; The DBD duration, current amplitude, power and transferred charge of these two electrodes all increase with the increase of applied voltage, and at same applied voltage, all the parameters of tube-plate electrode DBD are larger than that of tube-tube electrode DBD.
