Ex-situ fabrication of conductive and magnetic nanocomposites: Carbon nanofibers and Fe@Feo nanoparticles filled polypropylene

摘要

Isotactic polypropylene (iPP) nanocomposites reinforced with carbon nanofibers (CNFs) and Fe@Feo nanoparticles are fabricated by an ex-situ method. The nano fillers are dispersed in the boiling PP/xylene solution. X-ray diffractograms (XRD) is used to determine the influence of the fillers on the crystallinity of PP. It is found that the orientation numbers in (040) plane decreased with the incorporation of nanoparticles. Thermal properties are characterized by thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetric analysis (DSC). Both higher thermal stability and the varied crystallintiy are observed in the magnetic nanoparticles compared with pure PP. The dielectric and magnetic property of the manufactured sample are studied. The rheological behaviors of the nanocomposites melts have also been investigated and covered in this study.
