Isobaric vapor-liquid equilibria for the binary system of acetic acid + dimethylformamide

摘要

Isobaric vapor-liquid equilibrium data for acetic acid + dimethylformamide system was measured at 101.33 kPa by using an improved Rose cell. The results show that they form a maximum azeotrope. Thermodynamic consistency for the experimental data was examined by using the area test. NRTL, Wilson, UNQUIC Models were used during the data correlation, and parameters were obtained. The calculation values were in good agreement with the experimental data. For NRTL model, the average deviation of temperature is 0.23°C, and the average deviation in vapor phase is 0.009 7. The azeotrope point for the experimental system was positioned using the NRTL model parameters, with the azeotrope point at 155.65°C and acetic acid mole fraction of 0.3127.
