N2 - NaLa(MoO 4) 2 powder was synthesized via a microwave-solvothermal method. The effects of reaction parameters (such as the volume ratio of ethylene glycol to water, reactant temperature and concentration) on the morphology and size of NaLa(MoO 4) 2 were investigated. The products were characterized by X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscope, UV/Vis reflectance spectroscope and photoluminescence spectroscope, respectively. The results show that the tetragonal NaLa(MoO 4) 2 particles with an uniform four-arris shuttle morphology were synthesised by microwave-heated at 150°C for 6h, and the size of the particle is 2μm in length and 0.3μm in middle width. The doping of Eu 3+ does not affect the tetragonal scheelite structure of NaLa(MoO 4) 2. It indicates that the Eu 3+-doped NaLa(MoO 4) 2 particles exhibit a red luminescence at 615nm when excited by light of 294nm and 393nm. The absence of concentration quenching of Eu 3+ is observed in NaLa 1-x(MoO 4) 2:xEu 3+ (x=0.025-0.200) according to their photoluminescent properties.
