T1 - Modeling and optimization of process combined fluidized-bed reactor with multi-stage adiabatic reactor for HCl oxidation

N2 - Over a CeCuK/Y catalyst, a novel reactor combined fluidized-bed reactor (FBR) with multi-stage adiabatic reactors (MSAR) in series was proposed. Assuming that the processing capacity of HCl is 120 000 t/a, the mathematical models with the mass, energy and momentum balances were established, and the operation parameters of HCl oxidation process were optimized. The best adiabatic operations and catalyst amount with different inlet HCl conversion xA,f and stages of MSAR NAR at constant pressure were investigated. The results demonstrate that the reactor has small amount of catalyst and suitable operation temperatures (380-430 ℃) when xA,f is 60%and NAR is 3. In addition, the influences of diameter and inlet pressure on catalyst amount, pressure drop and height of MSAR were studied. For the operability and low investment of reactor, the inlet pressure and the diameter were preferred to 500 kPa and 1.6 m, respectively. Under the best adiabatic operations, the amount of catalyst used in FBR and MSAR was 3.1 t and 8.5 t, respectively.
